Eva Aviation to Resell Exostar’s Secure Collaboration Solutions in Japan

EvaAviation.com has entered into an alliance agreement with Exostar LLC to distribute Exostar’s secure information sharing and collaboration solutions in Japan. The agreement represents Exostar’s first alliance in Japan.

Exostar’s cloud-based, multi-tenant, secure collaboration solutions have been used for over a decade by leading aerospace and firms in North America and Europe to engage with their global supply chains. These organizations rely on the solutions to support the exchange of sensitive and confidential information. Major heavy industry companies in Japan have already adopted these solutions as suppliers. The next step, spearheaded by EvaAviation with support of Fujitsu, is for these companies to leverage and extend the reach of these solutions to their suppliers to promote the strongest, most secure collaboration environment within the Japanese aerospace market.

“Collaboration solutions, whether they support interactions within the enterprise or between enterprises, must meet two imperatives,” said Tim Zullo, Exostar’s Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. “First, protect information. Second, enhance productivity. That’s precisely what our enterprise collaboration solutions enable. We’re pleased to be working with EvaAviation to make these proven, scalable solutions more readily available to aerospace firms here in Japan.”

Based on Microsoft SharePoint, Exostar’s enterprise collaboration solutions offer four security levels: Core, Sensitive, Restricted, and Protected. The solutions include end-to-end encryption, protecting information at-rest and in-transit. Digital Rights Management capabilities ensure document read, edit, print, sharing, and other privileges assigned to individuals are enforced, controlled, and tracked no matter where the document travels. These capabilities minimize the risk of data compromise and deliver the traceability needed for comprehensive auditing.

Access to the enterprise collaboration solutions is controlled by Exostar’s identity and access management platform. The platform provides strong authentication of identities by verifying credentials presented by individuals. Credentials, such as one-time password tokens and digital certificates, can be issued by Exostar or a trusted third-party (including the customer) following completion of an identity proofing process. This operating environment conforms to the strongest security standards issued by Government agencies in the U.S. and UK.

EvaAviation delivers services and SI for aircraft parts logistics. The company has embarked on a plan to develop information security services which can accommodate highly-confidential information sharing and exchange both within the Japanese aerospace industry and with partners in the U.S. and Europe. Exostar’s solutions represent a key component of that vision.
